Tratamento hidrotérmico da biomassa de Araucaria spp. para a produção de condicionadores de solos

Naturalmente, a biomassa apresenta elevada quantidade de magnésio, sendo que, a partir dela, pode ser produzido o biocarvão, o qual pode ser aplicado no solo para aumentar sua eficiência microbiana. Estudos propõem modificações no mecanismo de pirólise da biomassa pela adição de até 8 % de MgCl2. Este estudo avaliou biocarvões gerados na presença e na ausência de MgCl2, para uso agrícola. A biomassa de falhas de Araucaria spp. (BA), foi tratada na presença e na ausência de MgCl2, nas temperaturas de 250, 300, 350, 400, 450 e 500 oC. A amostra de biomassa de falhas de Araucaria spp., tratada hidrotermicamente a 300 oC, na presença de 8 mmol de Mg2+ por grama de biomassa (BAMg300) está associada à maior altura das plantas de Eruca sativa monitoradas. A maior produção de espuma para organismos de Saccharomyces cerevisiae ocorre em meios de cultura contento a biomassa tratada a 400 oC, na presença de 8 mmol de Mg2+ por grama de biomassa (BAMg400). Os materiais tratados hidrotermicamente na ausência de MgCl2 a 300 oC apresentam menor toxicidade no desenvolvimento da cultura de Saccharomyces cerevisiae e melhores taxas de germinação e crescimento inicial para Eruca sativa. Os materiais foram avaliados por espectroscopia de refletância difusa (DRUV), entre 200 e 400 nm, indicando haver diferenças espectroscópicas entre os materiais avaliados.
