Resumo

O Pagamento por Serviços Ambientais (PSA) traz programas que, fomentados pela Agência Nacional de Águas (ANA), procura beneficiar financeiramente os produtores de serviços ambientais, ou seja, aqueles que promovem a conservação dos recursos naturais inseridos em uma bacia hidrográfica. Um dos focos da ANA é lidar com produtores rurais e, assim, foi previsto, no Programa Produtor de Águas, lançado por esta, entre várias ações, a construção de fossas sépticas nas propriedades rurais. Desse modo, torna-se objetivo deste trabalho fazer o levantamento de habitações localizadas em propriedades rurais inseridas em Áreas de Preservação Permanente (APPs) na sub-bacia do ribeirão Taquarussu Grande por meio de técnicas de geoprocessamento. A sub-bacia do ribeirão Taquarussu Grande representa 19,1% de área do município de Palmas e é responsável pelo abastecimento urbano de água desta capital, bem como de seus bairros e distrito. Assim, foram identificadas, na sub-bacia de estudo, 196 habitações, sendo que 68 (34,7%) dessas residências estão inseridas em áreas de APP e 128 residências (65,3%) estão em um limite aceitável de distância dessas áreas especiais e dos cursos d’água. Portanto, as técnicas usadas por meio do geoprocessamento permitiu, satisfatoriamente, identificar as residências inseridas ou não em áreas de APP, o que poderia ser adotado como um dos critérios na implementação de programas de Pagamentos por Serviços Ambientais.

Abstract

Payment for Environmental Services provides programs that promoted by the National Water Agency (ANA) seeks to benefit financially producers of environmental services, ie those that promote the conservation of natural resources entered in a watershed. One focus of the ANA is dealing with farmers and so was under the Water Producer Program, launched by this, several actions between the construction of septic tanks on rural properties. Thus, it becomes objective of this study to survey households located in rural properties inserted in Permanent Preservation Areas (APPs) in the sub-basin of the river Grande Taquarussu through GIS techniques. The sub-basin of the river Grande Taquarussu represents 19.1% of the municipal area of Palmas and is responsible for urban water supply of the capital, as well as neighborhoods and districts. So, were identified in the sub-basin study 196 dwellings, with 68 (34.7%) of these homes are located in areas of APP and 128 households (65.3%) are in an acceptable limit away these special areas and watercourses. Therefore, the products and techniques used by the geoprocessing allowed to satisfactorily identify the residences included or not in areas of APP, which could be adopted as criteria for the implementation of programs of Payments for Environmental Services.
