Resumo

O presente estudo analisou três procedimentos metodológicos: aula expositiva dialogada com discussão da teoria, aula expositiva dialogada com prática laboratorial, aula expositiva dialogada por meio de apresentação de seminário. Estes procedimentos foram analisados na aula de Química Geral oferecida aos alunos do 1º ano do curso de Engenharia de Alimentos da Universidade Estadual do Centro-Oeste, em Guarapuava, Paraná. A prática laboratorial demonstrou ser o procedimento que mais agradou aos discentes, devido ao alto índice de satisfação. Os alunos fizeram algumas sugestões, tais como o aumento na carga horária da disciplina e o uso do vídeo para alguns assuntos. Foi verificado que eles se sentiram incentivados a aprofundar o seu conhecimento em Química Geral para Engenharia de Alimentos e até mesmo inovar na área.

Abstract

Three methodological teaching procedures were compared: a lecture with dialogue and theory discussion, a lecture with dialogue and laboratory practice, a lecture with dialogue by means of a seminar presentation. These procedures were analyzed in classes of General Chemistry offered to fi rst year students of the Food Engineering Program of the State University of the Center-West, in Guarapuava, Paraná. The laboratory practice was the most pleasant procedure for the students, with high rates of satisfaction. The students made some suggestions, such as increasing the amount of course hours and using the video for some topics. It was verifi ed that the students felt stimulated to deepen their knowledge of General Chemistry for Food Engineering and even to innovate in the area.
