Focus and Scope

The objective of Applied Research & Agrotechnology is the publication of scientific articles, technical notes and reviews, originating from original research in the field of Agrarian Sciences and its interfaces with the environmental sciences, aiming to contribute to scientific and technological development and collaborate with the diffusion of knowledge and interaction with its applications.

The scope of the journa is constituted of publications in the lines of Precision Agriculture, Mechanization and Agricultural Machinery, Storage of Agricultural Products and post harvest, Agricultural Aviation, Agricultural Climatology and Meteorology, Energy and Rural Construction, Soil Physics, Geoprocessing and topography, Water Resources, Systems in Hydraulics and Irrigation, Technology OF Agricultural and Forestry Production.

Peer Review Process

The articles are reviewed by two evaluators with relevant knowledge in the research area, being judged principally the scientific merits inherent to the relevance of the contribution, methodology used, quality of results, clear and objective writing, adequacy and quality of cited references, authenticity of information, copyright (anti-plagiarism ). The editor will make the decision based on the opinion of the reviewers. In case of discrepancies between the evaluators, a new opinion may be requested in order to obtain a better judgment. When modifications are suggested, they will be forwarded to the lead author and then to the reviewers so that they can verify that the demands have been met. The standard time of evaluation by the reviewers for a version of the article is approximately thirty to forty days, but variable, and the total time for approval for publication of the article will depend in particular on its initial characteristics and the author's ability to make the changes suggested by reviewers.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statment

The Applied Research & Agrotechnology states that it acts to maintain standards of ethics and good publishing practices. By always respecting this statement, and directing the members of the internal and external Editorial Board, as well as the reviewers (ad hoc reviewers) and authors to maintain their commitment to the international principles of conduct and editorial practice, taking into account the  Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. The guidelines for good publishing practice involving editorial board members, reviewers and authors are as follows:

Members of the editorial board: are responsible for the final decision whether or not to accept the manuscripts, always taking into account the evaluation of the reviewers according to the scope of the journal, the guidelines for the authors and the originality of the manuscript. Thus, any article that incurs ethical problems such as defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism should be rejected for publication. In the course of the evaluation process, publishers will never take into account nationality, ethnicity, religion, color, race, gender, sexual orientation or ideological position of the authors or themselves. Publishers will follow the maximum confidentiality principle regarding information about the authors or content of the manuscript. In addition to the absence of authorial identification the editors maintains the commitment to perform prior checking about the originality of the text of the manuscripts through the use of anti-plagiarism programs. As well as, to define reviewers who do not have any conflict of interest with the authors and to protect their identity. In the case of ethical conflicts involving a manuscript being evaluated or published, the publishers should take the necessary steps.

Reviewers: Reviewers (ad hoc) as well as members of the editorial board will present a clear assessment, based on significant and exempt arguments of any term with signs of irony or offense, with opinions relevant to the process of adjustment and decision referring  the sequence of the manuscript about the possibilities of approval or not for publication in the journal. The reviewer undertakes to seek to identify signs of plagiarism in the manuscript and to follow the criterion of confidentiality and non-existence of conflict of interest with authors and institutions associated with the article under evaluation.

Authors: During the submission process of the manuscript for Applied Research & Agrotechnology authors must declare exclusivity of submission, their originality and respect for the norms of not performing plagiarism as well as the citation of sources and references in front of the presentation of information or parts of texts or images from other works. In case of research involving human beings, animals or other pertinent elements the authors must present The approval number of the institutional Research Ethics Committee. During the process of processing and reviewing the manuscript authors should consider the suggestions of the reviewers and make the appropriate adjustments or explain with clear arguments the reason for not doing so. In the case of article approval for publication, the authors are free to divulge sources of support and funding for the research carried out and also to make thanks. Prior to publication, the journal will provide the authors a formatted version of the article for their final review and indication of adjustments if necessary, however, if significant errors are identified after publication, authors may notify the editorial board to arrange for appropriate corrections.
