Neste artigo apresenta-se um estudo piloto como etapa preliminar de uma tese de doutorado. O estudo principal, que compõe a tese, investiga a influência da agenda da mídia na agenda do público, a partir da campanha publicitária “Agro é tech, agro é pop, agro é tudo”. O estudo piloto, neste caso, auxiliou no aprimoramento dos procedimentos utilizados para a coleta de dados, bem como, na construção e validação de escalas. O objetivo é validar variáveis de escala, criadas com base na literatura, para a condução do estudo principal da tese. Para tanto, foca-se no método empregado, conduzido pelo estudo piloto em uma pesquisa quantitativa descritiva. O estudo piloto foi utilizado para adequação do questionário e validação das dimensões e escalas por meio de testes estatísticos, já que o instrumento foi criado com base na literatura, ou seja, não foi feita nenhuma replicação ou adaptação de modelos já elaborados em outras pesquisas. Os resultados demonstraram medidas de validação e confiabilidade adequadas e estimativas satisfatórias de replicabilidade do instrumento.References
