MODELAGEM MATEMÁTICA NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL: RELATO DE UMA VIVÊNCIA

Abstract

This work presents an initial experience with Mathematical Modeling in Early Childhood Education. To identify the contributions of Mathematical Modeling, bibliographic studies are presented regarding the teaching of Mathematics and Modeling from the perspective of Mathematics Education, as well as the description of a pedagogical practice carried out with 4-year-old children. It was possible to reflect that practices involving Mathematical Modeling are meaningful, promote learning, and encourage the active participation of children in the educational process.
