MODOS DE LER, MODOS DE NARRAR: A INSTABILIDADE E A PRECARIEDADE DA MEMÓRIA

Abstract

This paper discusses how reading certain artistic-literary productions that narrate the inherited memories of Latin American military dictatorships makes it possible to articulate ways for literary criticism to rethink the construction of certain reading categories, and consequently also of certain ways of reading. Centered much more on the symptoms of absence both of the plot that fails at every turn and of the memory full of lapses these ways of reading operate precisely within this unstable and precarious space. We are interested in observing in these narratives the investment in memory, the concern with what to do with the future of memory. how to make it survive a concern shared by Roberto Vecchi (2021) how to operate a reparation, as defended by Paloma Vidal (2014), and how to make this inheritance produce meanings, as argued by Marianne Hirsch (2018) and Eurídice Figueiredo (2022; 2024).
